Mudjacking vs. Polyjacking
A plain comparison of mudjacking and polyjacking for lifting settled driveways, sidewalks and patios.
Mudjacking
Uses a cement-based slurry pumped through larger holes. The material is heavy, which can matter on weak soils.
Polyjacking
Uses expanding polyurethane foam through smaller holes. It is lightweight and cures quickly, usually at a higher material cost.
Choosing
Slab condition, void size, soil and budget all play a role. Severely broken slabs may be better replaced.
FAQ
Which lasts longer?
Longevity depends heavily on why the slab settled and whether drainage is corrected.
